I’m Derek Brochu, the proud owner of Brochu & Associates Ltd.
I look forward to sharing my story. I hope that you will enjoy getting to know me better.
I started my business because I love helping my community members navigate their financial successes or accomplishments and wanted to make sure they reach there faster than planned.
We opened our doors to the public on August 1, 2010, and are currently in our 12th year. When we first started, I worked out of the back bedroom of my condo, and my only staff member was my twelve-year-old English Bulldog. 12 year years later, we have four staff; three full-time and one part-time.
As a trusted accounting firm, we display values of honesty and integrity when serving clients. We also believe that no matter what financial position our clients are in, we will be there to help them reach their goals faster and with confidence.
The most enjoyable part of our job is seeing the smile on our clients’ faces when we help them get back on track and also reach their life goals. But, the most fulfilling moment was in 2019 when we were voted as one of the best accounting firms in London by our clientele. We didn’t even know we made the shortlist, so it came as a complete surprise!
As a business, we believe our success is because of our clients’ success. When we help them succeed, they are happy and tell others. We truly have the best clientele in London, ON.
While we are passionate about what we do, we also believe in giving back to society. As part of that belief, we sponsor three minor sports teams and the local theatre. Over the years, we have also contributed generously to a local organization called ‘Dad Club London’ that helps support local businesses and community members. This organization also helps raise funds and supports other struggling dads and families. Over the past few years, I have seen families that have lost family members or their homes to fires or robberies help local businesses like restaurants stay open by purchasing food to feed the homeless and front line workers. They also help save our local library.
When I’m not helping my community or assisting clients, I spend a lot of time at the hockey arena playing, coaching, and refereeing. I also spend a ton of time with my amazing family camping, cottaging, and hiking our beautiful country!
I have enjoyed sharing my story about the things which matter to me and how they influence the way we do business.
